To the south of the resort at the mouth of Sogod Bay is the Tangkaan peninsula. The Tangkaan and Santa Sofia dive sites have a fantastic array of colorful soft corals and huge barrel sponges. Sea turtles, batfish, rays, and frogfish are frequently found on these sites.

To the southwest, around the corner of the Tangkaan peninsula facing the Bohol Sea are 4 dive sites. Here you can see a lot of coral fish like lionfish, scorpionfish, sweetlips, unicornfish, gobies, and also sea slugs. Ampo features an amazing diversity of hard corals. Turtle Rock goes to a depth of 36m and huge gorgonian fans can be seen alongside the healthy corals. Coral Gardens starts with a slope out of hard and soft corals, where green and hawksbill turtles are often found. Heaven’s Gate lies at the tip of Southern Leyte, where a steep slope covered with soft corals, sponges and anemones host a nice variety of marine life including a Napoleon Wrasse.
